Brand History:
In 1924, the Shokosha Watch Research Institute produced its first "CITIZEN" watch. Mr Shinpei Goto, the Mayor of Tokyo-Japan, named the watch "CITIZEN" and even after this was adopted as the name of the company in 1930. CITIZEN has produced approximately 300 million units of complete watch and movement in 2006.
